The Upgrade of Our Core Banking System

Exciting changes are underway here at Greater Texas|Aggieland Credit Union!  We are currently in the process of upgrading our core banking system. This upgrade will allow adoption of cutting-edge technology that will provide you with a new and enhanced member experience. 

While the bulk of the upgrade is taking place behind the scenes, there will be times that it will affect some of the services you use. Our priority throughout this process is to limit the impact on our members. We are committed to sending out communication frequently to ensure you are informed throughout the process. We appreciate your patience while we build the Greatest Banking Experience. Ever.

How to Find Your New Account Number in Digital Banking

Below you will learn how to find your account number(s) using our digital banking platforms through the mobile app or online banking. To set up digital payments and ACH transactions, you will need both your account number and the credit union's routing number, which is 314977337.

Follow the steps below to quickly and easily locate your account numbers: 

  1. Log in to the mobile app or online banking
  2. Select "Accounts" from the left menu, then choose an account to view
  3. After your account screen loads, click or tap "View details" on the right
  4. To see other accounts and their account numbers, you can use the drop down menu on the right
 

How to Toggle Between Accounts & Review Legacy Statements in Digital Banking

Learn how to view your account statements from before the system upgrade, and after. 

Instructions:

  1. Log into your account
  2. Select the 'Statements' link on the left menu. A new window or tab will open with your available statements 
  3. To view statements from before the system upgrade, find the drop down menu located at the top-left of your screen
  4. Choose an account labeled "Pre-System Upgrade." All of your statements and notices for that account will appear once selected. 
  5. Use the dropdown menu to toggle between all of your accounts. You will start seeing new statements after one full monthly cycle. 

DOWNTIME:

From May 26 through May 29, credit union services were unavailable due to the upgrade of our core banking system. Memorial Day weekend was selected for this multi-day upgrade as we are already scheduled to be closed, and it would have the least impact on members. 
  • Direct Deposit: Your direct deposits processed as normal. If you received a direct deposit on Friday, May 26 and did not see it post to your account, rest assured your deposit is now visible in digital banking.
  • Transfers: Previously scheduled automatic transfers posted after downtime.
  • Transaction Order: In the event your transactions are out of order after Downtime, please know the sequence of your transactions will not affect your balance. 

HERE ARE SOME IMPROVEMENTS YOU CAN EXPECT:

  • Enhanced security
  • Faster member service
  • Improvements to automated payments, direct deposits and electronic loan payments


THINGS THAT WON’T CHANGE:

  • No changes to online banking logins and passwords
  • Your checks can still be used as normal
  • No need for new debit or credit cards

 NOTABLE CHANGES:

  • You will have one Member Number to easily manage all of your accounts at the credit union
  • Account Numbers will change: no more S, I, L account code extensions
  • You will be able to see all of your accounts in online banking using your Member Number
  • Transaction history views will be upgraded

Frequently Asked Questions

The account number structure changes will be a benefit to our members and align with the structure of other financial institutions. Assigning account numbers to each account allows for easier distinction between accounts and reduced confusion with the previous coding of S, I, and L types. In addition, the new account number structure allows for easier ACH processing.
Any account with a MICR number will remain the same. Other accounts, such as savings accounts, certificates, loans, etc. will have a unique account number. There are no longer the use of S, I, or L types for accounts.
Yes, your direct deposit will credit to your account as normal. You do not need to take any action.
While it is not necessary to update any information for current ACH transactions, we highly recommend updating your account number for any ACH debit or credit for future transactions. We will continue to honor existing ACH debits/credits with the previous account information. All new ACH debits/credits should be updated with the new account information.
Some improvements with our system upgrade is improvements in our teller transaction processing times, easier set up for direct deposits and loan payments with unique account numbers, and enhanced options for account services and business accounts.
There will be notable changes to account numbers with no more S, I, or L account codes or extensions. There will be changes to the accounts being combined in online banking under the main member number. This means that all accounts – including joint – will appear and be visible within online banking.
Your main (oldest) member number will remain the same. In addition, online banking username and passwords will remain the same, though you’ll see the accounts appear in one login. Paper checks can still be used as normal as well as debit and credit cards.
The system upgrade will combine all accounts into one online banking profile using your oldest member number. Any previous online banking profiles will no longer be available due to all accounts being combined into one main member number, and all accounts having unique account numbers.
Yes, all personal, financial, and account information will remain secure.
Yes, your funds will remain safe and secure.
Most checking and money market account number will remain the same. Other accounts, such as savings accounts, certificates, loans, etc. will have a new, nique account number. The credit union will no longer use an alphanumeric system (S, I, or L codes) to designate account types.
The Core Banking System Upgrade will allow for better technology integrations, heightened security, and faster member service.
