Why This Matters
Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG) is a rare and aggressive pediatric brain cancer, most often diagnosed in children ages 5–10. The average survival time is less than a year, and long-term survival is extremely rare.
Despite the severity, childhood cancer research receives only a small portion of overall funding, leaving families with limited options and little hope for new treatments.
Mark’s Legacy
Mark Massey was known for his kindness, humor, and the way he brought people together. At just 10 years old, he was diagnosed with DMG and fought courageously for 10 months.
Today, his legacy lives on through the Mark Massey Legacy Foundation, which is dedicated to changing the future of this disease by supporting research, helping families, and raising awareness.
